In ancient Egypt, artists left graceful images on the walls of temples and palaces. The technique they developed through centuries was slowly transmitted ,eastward along the sklk-road,until it reached the shores of faraway Japan. In Japan, the art of drawing underwent its individual growth,to culminate in the present-day art of Japanese painting.
East or West,Wherever people live, they rejoice in the encounter with Beauty and Art. I think it is essential that Man should cherish this side of his nature.
Born in Japan,I grew up under the close influence of Oriental Art and Philosophy. Ever since I became enthralled by the beauty of Japanese painting, I have lived and worked in historic Kyoto.
My paintings are the expression of my own personality. However, the moment they leave my atelier to face the people of the world, they acquire a new life through being appreciated by a wide range of people. To exhibit in New York has been my long standing dream. I look forward to creating yet another, bigger goal, towards which I will continue to strive with the encouragement of those who have kindly gathered to look at my work.
